Beyoncé Annoyed by Mom Admiring Her Hair on Instagram: VIDEO - Vulture Posted: 27 Jun 2019 12:00 AM PDT Photo: Angela Weiss/AFP/Getty Images Beyoncé and Solange's mom, Miss Tina (real name: goddess divine Tina Lawson), has continued her work as our country's finest Instagram filmmaker. Day in and day out, Miss Tina delivers her trademark corny jokes (sometimes even with a Bey cameo), gives us progress reports on Blue Ivy's continued global domination, and gives us glimpses of the Carter family's parties. On Wednesday night, she gave us a little look at Beyoncé, unfiltered: Miss Tina is playfully admiring Beyoncé's hair growth — inches! Au naturale! — even though Beyoncé would obviously rather she cool it. "Mama, that's really annoying," Beyoncé says. "I mean very annoying. Mama." It is a comforting thought that we are all stuck on this dying planet, loving our moms but also getting a little miffed at them. Greta Gerwig didn't give us Lady Bird for nothing. Update: We work hard but Beyoncé works harder! Miss Tina has removed the extremely hilarious and adorable video from her Instagram. Luckily, a fansite saved the footage, which we have swapped in accordingly.
DJ Lag sets his eyes on Grammys - SowetanLIVE Posted: 01 Oct 2019 01:33 AM PDT "Maybe if we think of it as music that can move the world instead, then it's okay. Because that's what gqom is," he said. DJ Lag still has a long campaign to run until the five finalists are announced in the category when the Grammy nominations are unveiled on November 20. It's been a big year for DJ Lag who has produced songs for Moonchild, Kelela and Shekinah. In June, he travelled to Los Angeles to produce My Power with Beyonce, Moonchild, Yemi Alade, Tierra Whack and Busiswa. The song appears on The Lion King: The Gift - the soundtrack for The Lion King remake. It's was during the period that DJ Lag was invited to join the Grammy recording academy with about 14,000 members. "A nomination for a Grammy means that I can continue to show the world where I come from, what my music means to me and my people. The dream is big, but so is the support of my community. It already feels like a win," he said. Entries for the category are open to international music with "non-European, indigenous traditions" according to Grammy guidelines.
Malika Haqq's mystery baby daddy is revealed - Nicki Swift Posted: 01 Oct 2019 07:28 AM PDT ![]() O.T. Genasis, whose real name Odis Oliver Flores, is a 32-year-old rapper and Atlanta, Ga. native who grew up in Southern California with his immigrant parents from Belize, according to Hollywood Life. He's perhaps most known for his mid-2010s songs "Cut It" and "CoCo," but you might also recognize his 2017 single, "Everybody Mad," which Beyoncé sampled, sang, and danced along to during her famous headlining gig at Coachella 2018 (um, no big deal). As for O.T. Genasis' former on-and-off romance with Malika Haqq, the exes first got together in 2017, before officially calling it quits in June 2019. At the time, Haqq announced the split on Instagram, simply captioning a photo of herself with, "Single." While weighing in on Haqq's new relationship status, a source cited by People at the time said that the rapper's work commitments were reportedly what ultimately led to their amicable breakup. "It was hard for them both give 100 percent," the insider explained, adding, "There's no bad blood between them." At the time of this writing, O.T. Genasis has yet to publicly comment on his reported baby news. However, he might not stay mum on the matter for too long considering the fact that, just one year ago, the musician was gushing over his then-girlfriend in an open letter on Instagram. "To the world you may be one person but to me you've become my world," O.T. Genasis wrote in part to Haqq at the time. "My life has changed with you in it. Before you I was lost and confused and didn't know how to let my guard down … YOU and only YOU made me a better man and want to be a better man.. You're not only my partner but my best friend."
