Review: Oriflame Visions V* Dynamic Duo Eyeliner

Oriflame Visions Dynamic Duo Eyeliner: Aladdin and Yasmine
I bought the shade Aladdin & Yasmin from this range a couple of months back. The sole reason for me buying this particular pencil eyeliner was the name - Aladdin & Yasmin. In fact all the eyeliners in this range have been given such cute names like Tom and Jerry, Laurel and Hardy, Jekyll & Hyde, Batman and Robin, etc.

I bought Aladdin & Yasmin Eye liner pencil for another reason of it giving these duel gorgeous shades. I am amongst the kind of people who like to play with warm colors on their eyes, and I was quite tempted to buy this particular pencil that offered gold and brown shades.

What does Oriflame say about Visions V* Dynamic Duo Eyeliner pencils?

My experience with Aladdin & Yasmin Duo Eyeliner pencil:

Pros:

1) I love the shades it imparts to my eyes, particularly the gold one which I believe is 'Yasmine'. The 'Aladdin' part is also decently pigmented with rich brown color.

2) The texture of the pencils is extremely creamy and glides well on my lids. However, I've felt 'Yasmine' (gold) part to be smoother on my lids, than the 'Aladdin' (brown) part.

3) These liners are waterline safe, so I can use them well on my waterlines too. I particularly love to use the golden part on my waterline, when I am trying to do any smokey eyes. As I have warm undertones and somewhat smaller eyes, I feel that using stark white color on waterline would look OTT on me. The subtle gold shade gives a beautiful color and shape to my eyes and even helps in making them look bigger and more opened up.

4) Price: I think they are decently priced for the quantity you get.

5) They don't smudge much. If I rub them after sometime of application, the colors just fade away without making any messy marks.

Cons:

1) As stated before, the Aladdin (brown) part of this pencil, doesn't like my eyes much, because of which it doesn't glide as smoothly as the 'Yasmine'(gold) does.

2) The staying power is quite less. The colors just get vanished within 1-2 hours of application.

3) You need to find an Oriflame consultant to get your hands on these.

Below are the two ways, in which you can wear these liners, of course you can always complement them with other colors and play around:

My Naked Left Eye
Left Eye with Aladdin over the lid and Yasmine in the Waterline
How'd it look
Right Eye with Aladdin in the waterline and Yasmine over the lid

How'd it look!
Overall verdict: I like this pencil a lot. However, since the staying power isn't too good, I feel that if I get same shades in some other brand that have good staying power, I might not buy these again. For people who like to play with colors, they can definitely try these pencils. I have been eyeing  Tom and Jerry shade since quite a time, but it has always been out of stock since past few months.

Rating: 3/5
